Born and raised in Mexico city, I currently live in Los Angeles. I am an MFA student at California State University Long Beach.  A lecturer in the Art Department at California State University Northridge as well as a teaching artist for non-profit organizations that work with underprivileged populations and teenagers at risk.

My life and work has been strongly influenced by Mexican politics and culture. I employ photography and video in the way the mass media does, using humor and wit to delve into issues of immigration, cultural stereotypes, identity and being bilingual. As both an insider and outsider, I look at the machinations of American culture.
